Should smoking be banned in public places?

"Smoking was banned in England 12 years ago in all enclosed work places (including pubs/restaurants). It has since been hailed a major breakthrough in health improvement. Should this now be extended to all outdoor public spaces, effectively meaning you can only smoke at home. Do you think this is a good idea or is it taking the banning of smoking too far. ".
