Should the words in a Christmas song be changed to make it acceptable for all religions?

"A school has told its pupils to sing different lyrics for a Christmas carol, they stated the reason was so that all beliefs can join in. The school have said that due to religious beliefs some children are not taking part and that a school should be inclusive for all. Do you think that it is right to change the lyrics of a Christmas carol to suit all religions. Or, do you disagree and think that changing the words is unacceptable and not in the Christmas spirit. ".
