Should Lifeguard funding on beaches and tourist attractions (i.e. piers) be made available by the Government?

The above question was asked to the It-Your-Vote community.

We provided additional information for the question which was:

"Over the summer months we hear about instances where some beaches have fatalities due to our tides or currents in our oceans and circumstances which have led to tradegy from piers, yet, we are constantly hit by the lifeguards on some of our beaches asking for constant funding by the public. Should this not be given by the Government or should the public be made to contribute towards the running of these lifesaving stations.".
