Should universities open their doors to pupils who receive poor 'A' level grades just so that they can say they are 'diverse'?


The above question was asked to the It-Your-Vote community.

We provided additional information for the question which was:

"It has been reported in the press that universities are opening up their doors and will be letting more students on courses this year who have not met the grades, some as low as 'CCD' grades! They are doing this to become more diverse and students have to prove that they have been at a less advantage than others whilst growing up. Is this right or should universities standards remain high in order to achieve high achieving pupils.".
