Should more money be spent rehabilitating criminal offenders?

"Should tax payers contribute more money rehabilitating offenders - even if this means high taxes.".

The available answers for this questions were:

1. It is not about spending money rehabilitating criminals. There should be tougher sentences for repeat offenders.

2. Yes, it is in all our interests to rehabilitate and get offenders back into society. Less crime and better public safety is worth the extra cost.

3. No, the money should be paid by the Government from elsewhere. We shouldn't be paying extra for helping people that have broken the law.
