Is there a pay gap between men and woman doing the same type of job?

We provided additional information for the question which was:

"Pay gap is the average difference in hourly pay for men and women who are doing a similar job. If you are a woman, do you feel that there is a man doing the same type of job but getting higher pay. If you are a man then are you are on a higher pay than a woman doing the same job. Please only answer if you have some confidence that there is a difference and do not guess or use unconfirmed information from other people. If in doubt, answer 'Do not know'.".

The available answers for this questions were:

1. Yes - I'm a man and earn more than a female colleague doing a similar job.

2. I do not know what my male/female colleagues earn so am unable to answer.

3. No, I don't believe there is a gender pay gap where I work.
