Animal testing is where animals are used to test the development of a product (eg. medicine, cosmetic or other purpose), in order to make sure that the product is safe for humans to use. Is this an important stage for trialling new products or is it cruel for the animals involved and should only be carried out in extreme cases (ie medical breakthroughs).
