It is possible to obtain citizenship from more than one country. This usually means you have multiple passports from different countries. Is this fair, as in some cases obtaining citizenship is offering allegiance to a particular country and therefore, it should not be right to offer allegiance to multiple countries at the same time. Therefore, if you wish to be a citizenship of another country should you not renounce your previous country's citizenship first. Alternatively, you might think it is ok to have multiple citizenships if you wish to have them. Please note this is different from Indefinite leave to remain or permanent residency, which does not require full citizenship.
