A study carried out by King's College, London found that people had a 9.7% higher risk of developing lung cancer if living within 50 meters of a busy road in London compared to those living on a quieter street. Results also showed that in London and Oxford, children between the ages of 11-15 years living close to main roads had a slower lung growth. Should statistics/information therefore be made available to home owners and those moving into an area of the air quality.
