"To help the fight against coronavirus smart phone apps are being introduced to track people's movements. Scientists believe that such apps are vital if we want to reduce the spread of the virus. The concept behind the app is that if someone gets coronavirus, medical people have the necessary information to know exactly where that person has been and which other people with the smart phone app they have come into contact with. These people can then be contacted via the app and asked to self-isolate. The makers of the app stress that all movement data would be kept confidential and only used for tracking the coronavirus. Is this a great new way of using technology or an invasion of our privacy?".
