Should the Olympics be cancelled or delayed?

"Around the world major sporting events have been cancelled to help reduce the spread of the coronavirus. However, the Olympic's in Japan are still going ahead and due to begin in July. Is this the correct decision considering so many countries are currently in lock-down at the moment. Therefore, should the worlds biggest sporting event send out a clear message and cancel or delay the games. Alternatively, is it sensible to give it more time before making such an important decision.".
