We provided additional information for the question which was:
"In certain parts of the world the death penalty is still a form of punishment. Do you agree that for certain very serious crimes (mass murder for example) the death penalty should be used. Alternatively, is taking another person's life unacceptable and imprisonment/rehabilitation should always be used. Or do you agree with the death penalty, but worry that because there is a chance a wrongly convicted person could loose their life the risk is too great?".
The available answers for this questions were:
1. No - we should never take another person's life
2. Yes - we should have the death penalty in the UK
3. No - because there is a risk of a wrongly convicted person receiving it - I think there are good reasons for having the death penalty, but won't support it because there is a risk an innocent person could be put to death.
The winning answer was "No - we should never take another person's life" with 50.00% of the total vote.
