Should social media usage on phones be capped?

We provided additional information for the question which was:

"With both children and adults now spending an increasing amount of their day on social media. Should there be strict limits to protect physical and mental well being. A school recently banned parents from using their mobile phones on school grounds because of fears that children were being ignored when collected. Is this the tip of the iceberg and just another indication that we have become a nation of phone addicts. So, would it be sensible to cap social media usage to just a few hours a day and force people to focus on other forms of communication. Or, should a ban only apply to children. Alternatively, is any sort of ban of social media a bad idea as it is an important part of our daily lives and we should be able to decide ourselves how much time we spend on it.".
