The world is at a major point in its history because if the scientists are to be believed we are now having a direct impact on the climate of the Earth.
Are the scientists correct? Is climate change real and if so, is it a natural part of the Earth's lifecycle, or has it been brought on by human activities (deforestation/burning fossil fuels etc.)
Assuming we are causing it, what do we do to prevent further climate changes? Should we be investing heavily in reducing our carbon emissions, as we are told this is the single most important way to reduce the impact of climate change on the planet.
Should we be helping poorer countries with money and resources to help them reduce their carbon emissions. Also, do you think that your government is doing enough to prepare for the changing climate as floodings, wildfires, droughts and extreme weather are all becoming more commonplace.
Therefore, to gauge the opinion of the population we have created 4 special voting questions to find out what the people really think about climate change:
Do you believe that climate change is a consequence of human influence on the planet?
Do you think your country should pass a law to achieve "net zero" carbon emissions by 2050 or even sooner?
Should richer countries be helping poorer countries in reducing their effect on the environment?
Do you think your government is doing enough to prepare for a changing climate?
Below are the results to the questions and we update the results daily so you can see how the world is voting!
Do you believe that climate change is as a consequence of human influence on the planet?
One of our voting questions is to see if people believe climate change is real and if they think it is a natural part of the Earth's lifecycle, or directly caused by human influence. Here are the results so far (updated daily).
